The Barony of Calafia invites the populace of the Kingdom of Caid to help Her Majesty celebrate the Arts in her new reign. Come and see the skills of our artisans, show off your skills, enjoy performances, and meet friends, old and new. Demonstrations of performance art and displays are strongly encouraged. For informational guidelines of the display areas, demonstrations and performances (dance, musical and thespian), contact Baroness Brianna Je Nell Aislynn of Blue Shadows to reserve display space/times at festivalarts@calafia.org.
There will be competitions for the Best Display or Demo by a freestanding / territorial area guild, individual, and youth divisions and for the Best Performance by a performing group/ company, and individual divisions. There will also be a contest in honor of our Queens (present and past) in the areas of Courtesy and Chivalry. Ladies will be given a small rose to bestow upon a lord they deem the most courteous and chivalrous, the lord with the most is champion of the day.

Site fee: $5.00, +$3 surcharge for non-members, children under 5 free. Please make checks payable to the SCA.Inc/Barony of Calafia. Weapons may be discreetly displayed.
There will be 50 picnic lunches available for $6.50 created by Dragon. Reservations for lunch strongly encouraged. You are welcome to bring your own food if you wish. The site is discreetly damp.
The site is located at: UCSD La Jolla Campus 9500 Gilman Drive La Jolla, CA 92104 in the Powell-Focht Bioengineering Hall on Voight Drive at stop sign #13, or follow the SCA Event signs.
Directions: Take the 5 South/or the 5 North to La Jolla Village Dr. exit and head West (towards the VA Medical Center), Take the 2nd Exit off of La Jolla Village Drive on to Gillman Drive. SCA event signs will be set up for your assistance. See the maps.
Parking: parking is free in all red "A", green "B", yellow "S" and metered spaces that are not marked as reserved. Cars parked in spaces marked "Reserved" or "Permit required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week" will be ticketed or towed.
PLEASE NOTE: NO CROSSBOWS OR BLADES LONGER THAN 3 INCHES ARE PERMITTED ON THE UCSD CAMPUS. THIS IS A DRY SITE!
